Privacy policy
Heddle is built and run by one person. This is a plain description of what I actually collect and do with it, not lawyer-drafted legal text — that's still pending review. If you need something more formal, or have any question this page doesn't answer, email me at hello@heddledesign.com.
What I collect
- Account details. Your email address and password, handled by Supabase (the service that runs sign-in), when you create an account.
- What you make. Your patterns, saved palettes, and converted images are stored so you can come back to them. For an image you convert, only the converted pattern and a thumbnail are kept — the original photo you uploaded is never stored, only used for that one conversion.
- A guest draft. If you design at /try without an account, it lives only in your browser's local storage until you sign up and it's claimed into your account.
- Analytics, if you opt in. Covered in full on the cookie policy — it's off unless you accept the cookie banner, and never includes your name, email, or your designs.
Who it's shared with
Nobody buys or sells anything here. Data goes to the services that make Heddle run, and nowhere else:
- Supabase hosts accounts and the database.
- Cloudflare R2 stores thumbnail images.
- Stripe would handle payment if a paid plan is purchased — Heddle never sees your card details, since checkout happens on Stripe's own page. Paid plans aren't available yet during this alpha, so nothing is currently sent to Stripe.
- Google Analytics, only if you opt in via the cookie banner.
There are no ads on Heddle, and nothing here is sold to advertisers or data brokers.
How long it's kept
Your account and everything in it is kept as long as your account exists. There isn't a self-service "delete my account" button yet — email me and I'll delete your account and everything tied to it.
Security
Passwords and sessions are handled by Supabase, not stored or seen by me directly. I take reasonable care with everything else, but as with any small, early-stage service, I can't promise formal certifications or guarantees.
This is early software
Heddle is in alpha: things may change, including this policy, as the product and the legal review catch up with each other. I'll keep this page honest and current in the meantime rather than leaving it silent.
