Terms of service

Features, pricing, and even this policy can change while Heddle is in alpha. Your patterns, uploads, and account should stick around, but I can't promise zero downtime or that nothing will ever need to change in a way that affects saved work. If that ever happens, I'll do my best to warn you first.

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials to yourself and for what happens under your account. Free accounts have limits (pattern count, canvas size, and so on) shown in the product itself as you hit them, not hidden in this page.

Your patterns and any image you convert are yours. By uploading an image, you're confirming you have the right to use it — it's yours, or you have permission — the same confirmation you make on the upload form itself. Heddle doesn't store the original image, only the converted pattern.

Library motifs, borders, and alphabets you place are licensed to you under whatever tier and license type is shown on that item when you use it (Free, Paid, or Commercial). The full text of those license terms isn't published yet — see the FAQ's licensing section, or email me if a sale depends on the answer.

Don't upload images you don't have the right to use, don't use Heddle to harass or infringe on anyone else, and don't try to break or abuse the service (scraping, credential stuffing, and so on). I reserve the right to suspend an account that does.

Heddle is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. It's actively being built by one person; treat it accordingly, particularly during this alpha.

You can stop using Heddle at any time. There's no self-service account deletion yet — email me and I'll delete your account and its contents. I may also suspend or end an account that violates the acceptable-use terms above.
