I'm building Heddle while the autumn leaves fall outside my window, so it felt right to start the season with a collection of autumn cross-stitch motifs. This is the first: the classic maple leaf. The pattern is a small, beginner-friendly design with two colours. A maple leaf is a good project for a first cross-stitch or a quick seasonal make. You can stitch it on its own as an autumn ornament, bookmark or greetings card, or add it to a larger autumn sampler.
